About PilotPDF

PilotPDF is an independent project with a simple premise: everyday file tasks — merging a PDF, compressing a scan, converting a photo — shouldn't require creating an account or paying for a subscription you'll use twice a year.

Why we built this

Online file tools are enormously convenient, and most people use them without a second thought — including for documents that are actually quite sensitive: employment contracts, bank statements, IDs, medical paperwork. Every one of those uploads is an act of trust in a company you know nothing about.

PilotPDF focuses on straightforward tools, clear limits, and predictable results. We explain what each tool can do before you start and avoid requiring personal details that are not needed to complete the task.

What we promise

• No file retention. PilotPDF does not keep copies of your original or completed files.
• No accounts. Every tool works without signing up or handing over an email address.
• No watermarks or artificial limits. The output is yours, unbranded.
• Free. The tools are free to use, supported by non-intrusive advertising on the site itself — never by your data or your files.
